10 Perfect Hostess Gifts for Fall

Giving Perfect Hostess Gifts, Makes You the Perfect Guest

Years ago I remember taking my first grown up trip to a friends house. My college friend in Canada was getting married! My Sister and I traveled from California, up the West Coast, and 2 days into Canada. It was an awesome adventure, but honestly, the last thing on my list was bringing a Hostess Gift. There were about 20 of us coming to stay at my friends house up in the Canadian Rockies where stores were scarce, and Malls were non existent.

As we walked in we were greeted and introduced to so many warm people. My friend walked us into the room we would be staying in, and I was surprised with a little vase of pink wildflowers next to the bed. I felt so very welcome! At that moment, I wished I had brought a Perfect Hostess Gift to give to my friend who had welcomed us so warmly.

I realized I could have blessed my Hosts

The next day as more guests arrived, I felt even more neglectful as a guest, as I watched as other guests, in addition to their wedding gifts, brought my friend gifts from other places in Canada and the US. One friend in particular brought cheese from the United States. At first, I thought that was a strange gift. As I watched my friend receive the gift excitedly, I learned that in that area of Canada it was difficult to find good cheese. Her friend from the US knew this, and I learned would bring cheese every time she visited. What a thoughtful guest.

10 Perfect Hostess Gifts for Fall

10 Perfect Hostess Gifts for Fall, Available on Amazon

With the holidays quickly approaching, I wanted to compile a list of Perfect Hostess Gifts for various occasions so that you can ensure you don’t arrive empty handed. The gifts are fairly general and would be a lovely gift for a variety of Hosts or Hostesses. And, to make it easy, all are available on Amazon, most on Prime. If you are traveling by plane or in a packed car with kids, you can ship the gift directly to your Host or Hostess to arrive the same day you do! What a perfect way to get the visit off on a wonderful note!

Perfect Hostess Gifts for the Cook or Baker

Set of 3 Spatulas

I love this cute Silicone Spatula Gift! First, it’s cute and funny. But as gal who loves to bake, I know how incredibly useful these would be when baking! If you know that your Host or Hostess loves to bake, this is not only a thank you gift, but a gift that mentions that you love their baking as well!

Pie Weights, Pie Plate, and a Pie Server

What better way to say, “I have always loved your pies”, than to give a Pie Plate, Pie Weights, and a Pie Server! I love making pies, and know that this would be a wonderful gift! Or, maybe your host makes cakes, or amazing cookies. Whatever they do, you can honor that talent, with a gift that shows them you noticed.

Temp-Tations Elegant Serveware

I love a new platter or serveware! And, I am a huge fan of Temp-Tations. This one is not on Prime Shipping, but is well worth the wait. Temp-Tations can go in the fridge, oven, or microwave. I have several sets for different seasons and must say I use them all the time! They are quite durable, safe in the dishwasher, and bring a bright pop of color to the table.

Perfect Hostess Gifts for Thanksgiving

A Thanksgiving Wreath

A Thanksgiving Wreath is such a lovely gift. If you purchase a quality wreath, it can be brought out and used year after year! This will be a wonderful reminder to your hosts of your visit, and the good times shared.

Holiday Candles

I love holiday candles…well really I love candles any time of year! Earlier this year my oldest daughter and I took a tour through New England and stopped at the Yankee Candle Village in New Hampshire. It was such a fun morning walking all of the various shops, and of course taking in whiffs of all the various candle scents. I love that Yankee Candle offers fresh scents, with long burning candles. I know that when I am hosting a party, I always am using candles to invite my guests in, to create a mood, and to sometimes reduce the smell of cooking onions or garlic! So, I always think that a Candle is the perfect hostess gift.

Dish Towels

I am pretty sure that there has never been a time in the history of dishtowels, when a home didn’t need a few more! These dish towels are a nice set of Fall Dishtowels that are inexpensive, but still a very welcome practical gift!

Perfect Hostess Gifts for a Weekend Party

Table Topics, Conversation Starters

For the past few years I have been getting together with a group of ladies I knew 30 years ago and it is awesome! It is time so very well spent. But, as a shy person, it was a little difficult to think about getting together after all of those years passing. It turned out we had plenty to talk about, and we always spend hours chatting, and staying up way to late!

On one of our retreats, I brought a conversation starter similar to Table Topics, and a group of us talked for hours on random subjects prompted by the cards. We learned so much about each other, and our hopesย  and dreams, joys and fears. We shared laughs and tears that afternoon and it was so well worth it. Even if you know your group well, I suggest this type of conversation starter to go a little deeper. It’s worth it.

Bamboo Cheese Board

Typically, if you are going to someone’s house for the dinner, a weekend, or an event, it’s because they enjoy entertaining. As someone who loves to entertain, I love to have the perfect serving dish for every occasion! I think this Bamboo Cheese Board is one of the pieces that will be used over and over. It really is useful with all of it’s compartments, bowls, spoons, and accessories. Plus, it is made of bamboo which is a great sustainable product!

Fresh Fruit and Chocolate

This type of food gift is such a nice pick me up for a hostess. First, it takes some of the responsibility off the hostess for providing all of the food and snacks. But second, food gifts are very well received. I worked for years at a food gifting company, and loved hearing the responses of gift recipients who had received food gifts, and loved them! Personally, I always love to give and receive gift baskets that include fruit, I think it is a bright note in a weekend of rich foods.

Practical Hostess Gifts

Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Pumpkin Kitchen Basics Set

I love cleaning and cleaning supplies, and I especially love Mrs. Meyers. They are non toxic, and the scents are so refreshing. In addition, they work really well! I truly think this would be a lovely gift to receive, and of course, it would be a bonus if prior to leaving, you offered to jump in and help tidy up a bit! LOL What a wonderful way to truly say thankful to your Hosts!

I hope that these 10 Perfect Hostess Gifts for Fall will be a great help to you! I hope you will pick out the one that best fits your host, and that you will show up confident and ready for a wonderful visit! These are great ideas for fall hostess gifts! I love the spatulas and the dish towels in particular, because I feel like these are things every household uses, and often, things that we fail to replace often. I know my spatulas are in some sad shape!
