Did You Watch Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood?
Did you watch Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood while growing up? I did, and I loved every minute of it! He was such a gentle soul that shared so much with everyone. I am so excited for the Movie, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, with Tom Hank’s that will be coming out on November 22, 2019. Very Exciting! So, I thought in my Excitement I would share 10 Quotes from Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood to Inspire You Today.
The Show Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood on PBS aired beginning the year before I was born, 1968. I am so thankful that I grew up in a world saturated with his observations of the world, his imaginary friends, the people that would stop by in the neighborhood, as well as the factory videos. If you watched his program, then you know how awesome those videos were. And of course, Daniel the Tiger came directly from Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. And even if you didn’t grow up watching Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, I hope that you read through these quotes, and feel inspired.
I Can Remember Watching With My Brother
I can remember spending time with my brother who was two years older than me. We would sit in front of the TV and watch Sesame Street, and then Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Rogers’. Well, probably sit in front of the TV, was not accurate. My brother and I were like most children and would watch a show by acting out the scenes, playing with items nearby, and imagining. All of which took a lot of jumping, running, tumbling, and movement.
Now that I am a Grandmother, I love watching my Grandkid’s as they watch a learning show. Have you ever just taken a moment to watch kids watch TV? It really is interesting, and worth the time. I know that while I was watching Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, I was learning. Learning about how things worked, how people interacted, and how important I was to the world. I hope you learned that too!
