What is Blogtober? It is a practice of many bloggers, to post a blog post every single day in October. Now, if you are not a blogger, or even if you are, you might think to yourself, “Why would anyone participate in Blogtober”? I understand that question and have never completed Blogtober before. I thought I would take a moment and share some of the benefits of Blogtober for both bloggers and readers. And of course, no post on Blogtober would be complete without a list of 50 ideas for Blogtober! Right?
The Benefits of Blogtober
First, there are many benefits of blogging during Blogtober for both the reader and the blogger. First, when bloggers are super focused on blogging, and they will be if they are participating in Blogtober, it causes the blogger to truly focus in on their writing. Because of this, readers benefit by being able to see more ideas, loads of new content, and great ideas for the upcoming months. For instance, in Blogtober I will be focused primarily on Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hospitality and Budgeting. Because of this, there will be many more posts to help you my readers to have an amazing Holiday Season. And I hope as always to make you think, and bring a few laughs into your life.
For the Bloggers, Blogtober is a great opportunity to stretch outside of your usual boundaries of blogging, and even include new topics to write about. It helps bloggers to simplify their blogging process, and also helps Bloggers to set a monthly goal for the number of posts. Some bloggers set the goal of writing 31 posts, one every day during October. Some bloggers, who typically only write once or twice a month set their goal to blog weekly or even more than once a week. Either way, it is a great way to hone writing skills, and grow. And of course, it is a great way to connect with your readers and share another side of yourself.
