Easy Valentine’s Day Strawberry White Chocolate Munch

I am starting to get so excited about Valentine’s Day! The Christmas decorations are down, Winter is underway, and now we turn our minds to Valentines! I love to make treats for Valentines Day that my family will enjoy, and to give as treats! One of our family’s favorite treats is Munch! We have always loved the original Chex Mix and Muddy Buddies. In our family, we call them Munch. Probably because they are munchies! Today, I am sharing my recipe for Easy Valentines White Chocolate Strawberry Munch!

Easy Valentine's Strawberry White Chocolate Munch

Easy Valentine’s Strawberry White Chocolate Munch

It’s so Easy!

One of the reasons I love making munch is how incredibly easy it is to make, easy to give, and so very tasty! I made this version because I thought my oldest son would enjoy it. My oldest son has never been a super dark or milk chocolate fan, and has always preferred fruity flavored treats, especially Strawberry! I love the combination of White Chocolate and Strawberry and created this version for Valentines Day. And I love it! It worked out really well because on the day I made this treat, he happened to stop by on his way home from work. He had some of it and loved it! Oh, it makes a mother’s heart smile with here children enjoy her cooking. 🙂

In December I shared my recipe for Hot Chocolate Munch. It is truly yummy, and when you are eating it the taste and aroma of Hot Chocolate is so very strong. Yum! Since the Hot Cocoa mix was such a great addition to the Hot Chocolate Munch, I thought I would try using Strawberry Nesquik for this batch of Munch. I have not had Strawberry Nesquik for a while but remembered that the flavor was very bright. I thought the Strawberry Nesquik would add both color and flavor and I was right! And, I was also pleasantly surprised to find that Strawberry Nesquik uses beet juice to add color instead of artificial color.

Make it Your Own

Any type of munch recipe can be very versatile. You can use Rice, Corn, or Wheat Chex or a combination of all three. You can decorate your munch with M & M’s, conversation hearts, or foil covered hearts. If you want more color and strawberry flavor, add a little more Strawberry Nesquik. If you want less, add more powdered sugar. Make it your own! In a sealed container it will last for a week or more. I love to put it in goody or treat bags, add a little ribbon and you have a wonderful Valentine Treat to share! Or, put it in a large red bowl and take it to the office party, church potluck, or school party. Or, of course, you can do what we did last night, and enjoy munching on it while watching TV as a family.
