Mother’s Day is quickly approaching!

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and I can’t wait to celebrate with my Mother and my children. As an adoptive mom, I really think Mother’s Day is the day where I remember how blessed I am. First, I have had the opportunity to parent 4 amazing, unique, beautiful personalities. The joy that each one of them brings into my life, and the memories that fill my mind are beyond anything I could have ever imagined.

Second, I am always thankful on Mother’s Day to remember the gift of the two Birth Mothers who made my Motherhood possible. Without their work of carrying my little ones for 9 months, my Mother’s Day would not be possible. I will forever be thankful to these two women for the gift of my children.

I also love that Mother’s Day is a great day for gift giving. My Mom loves to receive gifts. In fact, it is her love language. You can read more about it in my post, Mother’s Day Gifts Your Mother Will Love! So, my gifts for my mother are already purchased, ready with a thoughtful card for Mother’s Day. If you have not started your shopping yet, please check out my gift guide below. The gifts I have selected are gifts that give back either by donations to charities, donation with purchase, or are earth friendly. I hope you enjoy this list, and that you have a wonderful Mother’s Day!

The perfect soothing bath for Mom

First on my list is the Level Naturals Summer Bath Bomb Set. The six bombs come in 3 scents; Lemon Sugar, Sea Salt, and Pina Colada. I am pretty sure most moms would love to sit back and relax with the scent of Lemon Sugar floating through the room! This gift, of course, should be accompanied by a coupon set for 6, uninterrupted bath times. But let’s be realistic, if the mother in your life has little ones, you might want to also pick up a copy of Five Minutes’ Peace. I read it to my children a lot. I am not sure they understood I wanted five minutes of peace, but I loved reading to my kids, so it was still a good time.

While you are shopping for the Level Bath Bombs, you might want to pick up a Level Naturals Candle. My favorite is the Lavender and Chamomile. It is so relaxing and peaceful to me, and the scent fills the room. I love that they are toxin free scents. I also noticed that all of the leftover veggie oils used in making the candles are converted to biofuel. That is cool! Level Naturals is one of my favorites because of their commitment to making clean products, and taking care of the environment.

For the Garden loving Mom

If the Mom on your list is a gardner, than Sloggers Boots are a perfect gift. Sloggers are made in the USA, and are perfect for any messy outdoor activity, including gardening! The company uses up to 50% recycled material to make it’s boots. And you, when you are finished with your pair, can go to their website, and follow the directions to send them in to be recycled. They will send a $5.00 coupon once they are received for your next pair! Their patterns are adorable, and I love that they are available on Amazon!

“We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.”

I also love the 10 Variety, 2,700+ Heirloom Seeds, Culinary Herb Seed Collection – 100% NON GMO Basil, Chives, Cilantro, Dill, Lavender, Oregano, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme Herb Seeds by Sustainable Seed. The Sustainable Seed company gives to over 100 charities worldwide, as well as hiring veterans, troubled youth, and disabled Americans. Their commitment to community is evident in their business practices, and their seeds are highly rated.

Or maybe the mother in your life would rather have an inspirational book to read while sitting in the garden. An Invisible Thread: The True Story of an 11-Year-Old Panhandler, a Busy Sales Executive, and an Unlikely Meeting with Destiny. I absolutely love this book, and have for years. Every time I read it, it reminds me of how much more I could do to give back to those around me. It is a very good and captivating true story by Laura Schroff and Alex Tresniowski. I saw Laura Schroff speak a few years ago and talk about the book and her relationship with Maurice, the boy in the story. Just hearing her story changed me. It is a very good read.

For the Mom who needs a good night’s sleep

Maybe the mother in your life needs a good night’s sleep? Well, then Calm’s Sleep Mist is the perfect gift! Mom will simply spray the mist over her pillow and have a restful night’s sleep and awaken happy and ready to head into her day. The product is all natural, with no harmful chemicals. For each bottle purchased, a donation of $1.00 will be made to Red.org’s campaign against AIDS.

The Proverbs 31 Woman

Another great gift is the Balthazar and Rose Fouta. You might ask, “what is a fouta”?”A fouta is typically a cotton woven towel. They can be used as a wrap, but in this case, I think it would be so lovely to snuggle under. I love the available colors from pink, to red, to blues. Lovely! Ten percent of the purchase price of the Balthazar and Rose Fouta is donated to Red.Org’s global fund to fight AIDS.

Finally, if Mom wants to snuggle down in a new comforter, then head to THE COMPANY STORE website and pick out a beautiful new comforter or some soft bedding. The company store supports multiple charities and programs. They have also partnered to give free comforters to children in homeless shelters. Knowing that the company store cares so much is bound to make most mommies sleep well.

Those garden clogs are adorable! I would love the herb seeds, too. These are great ideas and I especially love that these businesses donate a portion of the proceeds to charities.
