Our family loves to have a crunchy treat when spending time together watching a movie or playing a game. There is something magical about time spent with family and friends, in a common activity, sharing food. Memories are made that will be remembered for years to come.
Pumpkin Spice Munch
Throughout the year I love to make Chex Mix, Muddy Buddies, or Puppy Chow. Depending on where you live, and the ingredients you add, it really could be called anything. During various seasons, I like to add different candy treats specific to the flavors of the season. Since the Fall is filled with Pumpkin Spice everything, I thought it would be the perfect chance to make a Pumpkin Spiced Munch!
This rendition of puppy chow is filled with Candy Corn, Chocolate M & M’s, Rice Chex, and of course, Pumpkin Pie Spice! In the first batch, I thought that 1/2 Teaspoon of Pumpkin Pie Spice would be enough. My sister who loves Pumpkin Spice everything said she would go for 2 Teaspoons. So, depending on your level of PSLove, make your choice. Just make sure it is thoroughly mixed with the powdered sugar prior to adding the Chex cereal.
This treat is easy to make and can be modified depending on the treats that you have in the house and what your favorite flavors are. It is a fun to make with the family. And it is the perfect treat for filling up a tin and sharing with a neighbor, or co-workers. Add as many little goodies as you like. And of course, make sure to share it over a good conversation, some laughs, or during the football game.
